    Too funny!



    I have a story about building a pine derby car. Earlier this year in Luke’s cub scout den a mom told me that there was no one to help her son with his pine derby car, so I said she could bring him to my house and I could help him along with Luke. I figured she was a single mom. That day the doorbell rang, and son was there, along with his dad. The dad was too lazy to help his son with his car so he dropped him off my house. The worst part was the dad was unemployed. True story.

    When we got to the pinewood event, I told my son to wait in the car. The window was open, so it wasn't like mean or anything. We brought home the 1st place trophy. You should have seen his face as I approached the car. He must have been pretty excited because he had tears in his eyes. I was so proud of him.
